In early 2012, I began experimenting with dyes in my kitchen apartment and after a couple months of endless trial and lots of error, I ended up with a few pairs of colorful, smooth ombre tights. I launched on Etsy in March 2012 and the tights were an instant success. I spent the next couple of years catching up on orders, figuring out how to build a business and wondering where to go next. Today, I have a studio in Seattle, WA, where I am able to experiment and be artistic, keep things on a small scale and create special, unique products.
I have a husband, toddler and dog.
I'm Korean. I can cook Korean food WAAYY better than I speak.
While I dye and pack tights, I love to catch up on all my shows.
I was a crafty child. I'm pretty much doing the same thing I was when I was 8 years old. I was especially fond of latch hooks and anything having to do with weaving.
If I had an alternate life I would be a chef or a dancer.
We have lived in Seattle since 2013 but before that, I lived in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York City, Paris and Northern Virginia.
My favorite place in the world is probably Tokyo. But I really miss Atlanta!
I went to Parsons School of Design and ended up with a BFA in Fashion Design.
